Singapore uses wealth to spread Christianity

A Singapore church has already raised $280 million of the roughly $390 million it needs to pay for its half of a $783 million retail and entertainment complex, which will include a 5,000-seat auditorium. The Asian city-state has several megachurches that preach “prosperity gospel” theology.
At “Miracle-Seed Sunday” in Singapore’s New Creation Church last month, the pastor’s sermon was preceded by Power-Point and video presentations, and donations were overseen by auditors.
