Dam’s Future Unclear

CITY ENGINEER SAYS HE’S ‘ALL BUT GIVEN UP HOPE’

The dam at Bella Vista Lake is still compromised more than a year after the Federal Emergency Management Administration promised Bentonville $3.5 million to help repair the structure.

Bella Vista Lake

The Bentonville city park contains 132 acres with a disc golf course, a 1.75-mile fitness trail, a playground, a covered pavilion and three picnic sites. Fishing and kayaking are permitted on the lake, but swimming isn’t allowed.
