Man arrested in disturbance faces more charges

A man arrested Sept. 6 after a report that he chased someone with a machete is now facing additional charges of sexual assault and aggravated assault, according to a news release from the Rogers Police Department.
Investigators looking into the machete incident heard that Juan Castaneda-Cordero, 32, had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl, according to the news release. It was also reported that Castaneda-Cordero had held a knife to the throat of a 13-year-old girl, the news release stated.
Castenada-Cordero, who was charged with aggravated assault in connection with the machete incident, was arrested in connection sexual assault and aggravated assault. He is being held in the Benton County Jail awaiting a bond hearing.
