Grant Shares Story Through Song At Event

Amy Grant, a singer and songwriter, speaks Tuesday to attendees of the annual Northwest Arkansas Business Women’s Conference at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers. Grant was the keynote speaker of the event which drew about 1,150 people.
Amy Grant tells stories through 3 1/2-minute songs and that’s the same philosophy she uses as a public speaker.

Award Winners
Two women were recognized during the 14th annual Northwest Arkansas Business Women’s Conference Tuesday.
- Cathy Foreaker, director of external affairs for AT&T and chairwoman of the board for the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, received the fourth annual Athena Award. The award recognizes individuals for professional excellence, for providing valuable service to their community and for assisting women attaining professional goals and leadership skills.
- Sarah Phipps, assistant vice president and regional sales manager for Simmons First Bank, was the first winner of the NWA Young Woman of the Year Award.
