A state probation and parole office in Fayetteville was evacuated for about an hour Tuesday after a bomb threat, said Sgt. Craig Stout, a spokesman for the Fayetteville Police Department.

A search of the building turned up nothing, and business is back to normal at the office, he said.

The call came in at 7:45 a.m. at 3416 N. College Ave. Police had cleared the building by 8:37 a.m., Stout said. Police are investigating the incident.
