Befuddled Hogs fans still can’t figure it out

They are die-hard fans of the Arkansas Razorbacks and lived the same story tens of thousands experienced last weekend.

So cocky and sure they had a national championship contender by buying into all the preseason hype, Hog fans are befuddled and really showed a lack of class when losing by booing and directing insults at the coaches and players when the game ended. I hate say I told you so but I predicted failure early this spring as the sports gurus of the local press and media hyped the team building up the hopes of the fans only to have the fans "befuddled" when the reality of their overhyped overrated team bit the dust losing to the 6th place team of a minor conference. This has been the pattern for at least the 25 years plus I have lived in NW Arkansas. It is this way every year except last season when UA fielded a half way decent team that was unable to defeat the two national championship game participants. Shameful behavior indeed on the part of the classless Arkansas fans who booed and hurled insults at their players an coaches. On to reality Saturday, GO HOGS BEAT BAMA!!!!!!!!

Talk about a fly landing in the ointment of heady (and now the world sees, unrealistic) expectations! All the media hype ever generated can never replace reality on the field.
A poor defense that apparently never learned even the fundamentals of solid tackling and another year of living with barely detectible pass coverage...OK, it's not all gloom and doom...But this unacceptable debacle in Little Rock has provided plenty of the stuff across Arkansas and for Hog fans nationwide. Truly a shame for the heavily touted 2012 season.
