Airport Eyes Money For Upgrade

Officials say traffic at the Bentonville Municipal Airport has increased significantly in the past two years, leading the airport to seek grant, private and municipal funds to widen the taxiway.

- Reappointement of Alan Lewis, Chris Sooter and Travis Riggs to the Community Development Block Grant Advisory Committee and Debi Havner to the Tree and Landscape Advisory Committee.
- Appointment of Mike Roberts to serve as Bentonville’s representative on the Benton County Solid Waste District Board for four years.
- Consideration of a contract with Traffic Engineering Consultants for the annual traffic signal timing study at 20 intersections at a cost of $30,000.
- Awarding of a bid to EVS Mid-South for the purchase of 38 Scott Airpacks funded by a federal grant for the Fire Department.
