Marijuana growing arrest made

A Garfield man was arrested Wednesday in connection with charges related to growing marijuana.

John Kish of 21791 U.S. 62, was in the Benton County Jail Friday in connection with felony charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. No bond was set.

Investigators with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office’s Narcotics Unit seized several marijuana plants in different stages of growth, according to a news release. Also seized was grow equipment, money from drug sales and processed marijuana.

Investigators determined that different areas of the residence were used for different grow stages.
