Hogs receivers help ease concerns over losing veteran

Receivers help ease concerns

Posted: September 7, 2012 at 3:06 a.m.

Former Arkansas quarterback Brandon Mitchell, who was moved to receiver during fall practice, averaged 30.5 yards on four catches in the Razorbacks’ 49-24 victory over Jacksonville State last week. His play helped offset the loss of veteran receiver Cobi Hamilton, who was injured in the opening quarter.

Eight offensive snaps into its season opener, Arkansas lost its most veteran receiver and its only established deep threat when a head-snapping tackle knocked Cobi Hamilton out of the game.
