SONGBIRDS, RAPTORS AMONG CARVER’S FAVORITES

Raptors, such as this hawk, are Charlie Wolfe’s favorites to carve. Here he adds feathers to the bird’s wooden body. Wolfe and other carvers will show their work at the Woodcarvers of Northwest Arkansas 34th annual Competition, Show and Sale Sept. 15-16 at the Benton County Fairgrounds.
Charlie Wolfe can see hawks, bald eagles and sandpipers at his home in Springdale without taking a step outdoors.
