Whirlpool has entered into an agreement to sell its former plant in Fort Smith, according to a statement from a Whirlpool spokesman.
The facility is 2.19 million square feet, the equivalent of about 38 football fields. It closed in July. Infinity Asset Solutions Inc. has agreed to buy the plant, according to the statement from Kristine Vernier, a Whirlpool spokesman.
The process should be complete by the end of the year, Vernier said in the statement.
