Chou Wan, 32, is in custody pending further investigation over allegations that the Chinese man visited a gem exhibition in Sri Lanka and swallowed a 1.5 carat diamond in front of the owner, Colombo police said, adding that an X-ray showed the $13,000 stone inside Chou’s body.
