About 250 people heard Hank Henderson, president and chief executive officer of America’s Car-Mart, share the company’s history during Thursday’s Northwest Arkansas Business Conference and Expo.
Henderson said operating with a strong customer-service-based culture has helped the Bentonville-based “buy here, pay here” used auto dealer grow to 116 locations in nine states since its inception in 1981.
Car-Mart will enter a 10th state later this year when it opens a lot in Georgia.
Brad Phillips, vice president of marketing communications for the Rogers-Lowell Area Chamber of Commerce, said he expects more than 1,000 people to make their way through the expo that has 185 booths.
