Court will hear another casino case

The Arkansas Supreme Court has agreed to hear oral arguments in the case of a professional poker player seeking exclusive rights to operate casinos in the state.
The high court on Thursday granted requests for oral arguments in Nancy Todd’s case, though it wasn’t immediately clear when the arguments would take place.
The court’s decision comes days after Todd sparred with state election officials who say the reach of Todd’s proposal is unclear and want it removed from the November ballot.
The case is one of two lawsuits the court is considering over competing casino legalization proposals.
