NorthWest Arkansas Community College’s unofficial enrollment numbers show a drop in enrollment for the fall 2012 term.

The college had 8,418 students enrolled on Tuesday, the 11th day of fall classes. The 11th day is used annually by the state to compare numbers.

Enrollment dropped by 230 students, 2.66 percent, from the college’s unofficial count of 8,648 students last year. The official number provided to the Arkansas Department of Higher Education was 8,528, a press release from the school states. Those numbers do not include students auditing or enrolled in late-start classes.
