Who Was John Doe?

Identity Of Body Remains Unknown

Posted: September 4, 2012 at 4:18 a.m.

Roger Morris, Washington County coroner, shows one of a few unclaimed cremated human remains he stores at his office Aug. 15, including one that is unidentified, with the hope that they will be claimed by a relative.

The ID in his wallet turned out to be fake. His fingerprints did not turn up in any medical, military or law enforcement database. His DNA sample drew a blank.

....why don't you the media post some pictures of the above person. Hopefully there were pictures taken of him before he was creamated. It is hard to tell what a person looks like in a brown box.

Can just anyone get anyone's drivers license picture? Why don't you do it just to make your point.

...yes I read where it was a fake driver license. If he had a Texas driver’s license and it was fake was the picture on the license fake also or just the information? Someone had to stand and take a picture for the license and when the law enforcement agency took the license off the body did the picture look like the dead guy? My guess is it was the dead guy in the photo with bad information. I just don't believe the press did a good job of helping get some kind of facts out to the public to help id this person. Again a photo shoot of the corner with a dead man in a brown box is not helping. Investigating reporting is just a thing of the pass....

What ever happened to basic human dignity and respect. To keep these remains in a file drawer in a office is disgraceful, doesn't the county coroner and the county officials have any decently they should be ashamed. The reporter apparently didn't think there was anything odd about how these remains were being treated and he should have. The reporter should have questioned this poor excuse for a public official for his lack of basic human compassion.
