Child Hit by Car

ROGERS — A 9-year-old boy was taken to a Springfield, Mo., hospital for treatment of injuries suffered Thursday night when hit by a vehicle, according to police
The boy was riding a scooter on the sidewalk in the 400 block of East Post Road at 10:11 p.m. when police said he swerved into the path of a vehicle. Jose Juan Quinteros-Villanueva, 35, of Rogers was driving a 2008 Ford F-150 pickup. Quinteros wasn’t able to stop and the boy hit the bumper of Quinteros' vehicle, according to the news release.
Quinteros drove the boy home, and the parents later took the child to Mercy Medical Center for treatment. He was then transferred to Springfield, according to the news release.
No citations were issued.
