ArkansasSports360 to shut down
Posted: October 31, 2012 at 2:38 p.m.
LITTLE ROCK ArkansasSports360.com, a part of the website conglomerate of Arkansas Business Publishing Group, announced it will be shutting down.
The announcement came via a letter from editor Chris Bahn on the publication's website Wednesday afternoon. The site will shut down completely effective 11:59 p.m. Friday.
"Arkansas Business Publishing Group is looking to reallocate resources into its core publications," Bahn wrote. "And because ArkansasSports360.com has been difficult to monetize, the decision has been made to close it."
Bahn added that "unfortunately, ABPG was unable to generate the amount of revenue to keep the site going."
The official release from the ABPG, also posted on ArkansasSports360.com, states that the focus was being put on the new ArkansasBusiness.com mobile platform. As a result, the group would "reallocate its resources to focus on its core Arkansas Business brand." That included shutting down ArkansasSports360.com.
After the site has closed, articles from the site can be found in the ArkansasBusiness.com archives, Bahn said.
