Homicide suspect dies

A man who police said stabbed an acquaintance to death in a fight died Monday night in a Fort Smith hospital, according to a news release.
Eric Boyd, 23, stabbed John Jackson, 24, to death in a fight early Monday morning, according to a news release. Jackson's brother and father then fought with Boyd and subdued him until police arrived, the news release stated.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, and will be presented to the Sebastian County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, according to the news release.
