Fayetteville Posts 125-Student Gain

— School District enrollment increased 125 students, according to a report sent to the state Department of Education.

The official enrollment stands at 9,142, up from 9,017 a year ago.

Enrollment at the high school increased 52 to 1,896.

The School District historically has grown slower than the other three largest districts in Northwest Arkansas.

Springdale recorded the largest increase in students, 746, pushing its enrollment to 20,121.

Bentonville and Rogers are nearly even with 14,877 students and 14,455 students, respectively.

The Education Department requires all school districts to submit their student counts no later than Oct. 15 each school year. Fayetteville released the numbers Tuesday.
