Apparition intuition

Linda Howell is LR’s ghost host, with a book, tours and a sixth sense for phantoms

Posted: October 28, 2012 at 3:30 a.m.

Little Rock ghost researcher Linda Howell goes looking in dark and creepy places. “I wouldn’t describe it as scary,” she says. “So far, I’ve only encountered good spirits.” The floating light in this photo near the candle might look like a ghost orb captured in the deepdown basement of the Democrat-Gazette building.

Ever feel like a place might be haunted? Linda L. Howell has that sense about many places in and around Little Rock. And if the sneaking suspicion is enough to make you wonder what’s behind you, she says, “something’s probably there.” And then, if something should happen to touch you “like a spider crawling” — oh, yes, she says: This very well could be a ghost. But don’t be scared.
