Wommack refreshed, refocused

Dave Wommack had never met Hugh Freeze before becoming Arkansas State’s defensive coordinator in 2011, but called him at the urging of Gus Malzahn and John Thompson. “They said, ‘Hey, just talk to Hugh,’ ” Wommack said. “I’m very fortunate the way it worked out.”
Dave Wommack enjoyed his sabbatical from coaching in 2010.
