RELIGION NOTES

A jazz concert and art exhibit, featuring paintings by Robert Skaggs of Avoca, will be at 7 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive. Also, Dan Knight will debut his original music, “To Everything There Is A Season.” Light refreshments will be served and free will donations will be accepted. The exhibit will continue through Nov. 11. It will be open during church hours only.

Maestro Marek Kudlicki will perform an organ recital at 3 p.m. Nov. 4. He also will present a lecture on the “Historic Organs of Poland” at 7:30 p.m.

Nov. 3. The program, sponsored with the assistance of the Northwest Arkansas Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, is part of the ongoing Wesley Series of concerts, lectures and recitals.

501 S. 40th St., will celebrate all things about autumn with a potluck lunch and family activities at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Costumes are welcome. Coffee and visiting begins at 10:30 a.m.

The children’s food bank collection of nonperishable items will continue through Nov. 18. Items will be delivered Nov. 20.

The Shepherd’s Food Pantry at Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., is now collecting items for the holidays. The pantry is open every Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Braille workers will resume meeting at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday.

A special church service for those who are unable to attend regular services will be Nov. 6.

A light lunch will follow the communion service. Anyone who needs a ride to this service can call the church.
