Benton bids farewell to historic stadium

The Benton Panthers will take the field at C.W. Lewis Stadium for the final time for tonight’s game against El Dorado. The Panthers will play next season in a brand new stadium on-campus that features artificial turf.
Jerry Wilson said one of his most vivid memories of C.W. Lewis Stadium doesn’t involve scoring a touchdown as a standout fullback in the late 1970s for the Benton Panthers. It was what happened after the game.
