Bruins’ Olaya tops teammate

Pulaski Academy’s Julio Olaya (above) defeated Jake Jacoby, also of Pulaski Academy, 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 in Thursday’s boys singles final at the high school Overall state tennis toutnament.

Pulaski Academy’s Julio Olaya (above) defeated Jake Jacoby, also of Pulaski Academy, 4-6, 6-0, 7-5 in Thursday’s boys singles final at the high school Overall state tennis toutnament.

Julio Olaya and Jake Jacoby did not practice that much against each other this fall, but in the postseason the Pulaski Academy teammates could not avoid each other.
