— A portion of Interstate 40 near Van Buren will be closed for an extended period of time so that work can be done on an adjacent overpass.

According to a release from the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department, the overpass for Arkansas 60 that crosses the interstate will require work. This will mean the closure of the westbound, outside lane from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting.

Motorists are asked to exercise caution when around this road work.
