LITTLE ROCK The University of Arkansas has announced that the Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance Program of the National Park Service is setting up an office on the university’s Fayetteville campus.
The university said the office for the community assistance arm of the National Park Service will be located alongside the Fay Jones School of Architecture in Vol Walker Hall in Fayetteville.
The program supports community-led natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation projects.
Outdoor recreation planner Guy Headland will be responsible for projects in Arkansas, southern Missouri and southern Kansas, the school said. Headland’s position is funded by the National Park Service.
