Rewards helpful in keeping pace

After last week’s column about staying motivated to do my training, I had a call from a sweet fellow walker who has lost 100 pounds and has kept them off for almost seven years. She gave me a verbal pat on the back when I really needed it, so I hope she reads this and sees that her small act of kindness really meant a lot to me.
