Posted: October 22, 2012 at 1:13 p.m.

President and publisher of Arkansas Business Publishing Group Jeff Hankins has submitted his resignation, Arkansas Business reported Monday.

The publishing group's chairman and chief executive officer, Olivia Farrell, said Hankins plans to help the company transfer to new leadership and that senior management will assume his responsibilities until the position is filled.

Hankins joined the company as an editor in 1993 and then worked his way to publisher in 1996, Arkansas Business reported. He has served as the company's president since 1999.

"My 19 years with Arkansas Business have been an amazing experience, but I decided it was time for a change in my life and career," Hankins said in a statement to the company.
