Greenland Students Study Moon Exploration

Isidro Lopez, from left, Fiona Wilson and Jackson Redman, all Greenland Middle School sixth-graders, work on building model rockets and gliders Thursday for experiments as part of a cross-curriculum project called Mission to the Moon.

Greenland Middle School students returned from their Mission to the Moon, a three-day lesson that touched every student and every subject.

Common Core refers to new national standards that define the knowledge and skills K-12 students should learn so they graduate high school able to succeed in entry-level, credit-bearing academic college courses and work force training programs.
