ACLU Denounces Extension of Immigration Enforcement Program

The Arkansas chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union this week denounced the 90-day extension of an immigration enforcement program in which four law enforcement agencies in Benton and Washington counties participate.

Yes, what an outrage: law enforcement officials enforcing the law! And "this undermines immigrants trust ...in the American rule of law." Ms Sklar's statement is mind boggling.

It is indeed an outrage when law enforcement uses resources to investigate nonviolent crimes-- what with all the shootings and such in Washington and Benton counties. Even illegal immigrants pay sales taxes and property taxes-- plus payroll taxes and probably income taxes-- so it's not like they're stealing from the schools or decent people.
