A 15-month-old girl drowned Tuesday in Fort Smith in a five-gallon bucket of soapy water, according to a news release from the Fort Smith Police Department.

The girl, Paolo Borroso, was pronounced dead at a local hospital, the news release stated. Detectives went to the scene. Family members searching for Paolo found her suspended over the edge of the bucket.

"At this time, no foul play is suspected, and the incident appears to be a tragic accident," the news release stated.
