— Former University of Arkansas football players Marquel Wade and Andrew Peterson each pleaded guilty to one count of residential burglary on Wednesday and were sentenced to six months jail time and 60 months probation.

Both were sentenced in Washington County Circuit Court by Judge William Storey. The two will serve their jail time in a regional punishment facility.

Wade, Peterson and Maudrecus Humphrey - also a former member of the Razorbacks football team - were arrested May 12. Each was charged with three Class B felony counts for residential burglary and one Class D felony count for theft of property.

All pleaded not guilty to those counts during a June 27 hearing. Humphrey has a sentencing date scheduled for Oct. 31 in Washington County Circuit Court.

According to the arrest report, the three stole multiple items - including laptops, DVDs and textbooks - and cash valuing $4,817 from university dorm rooms beginning May 1. Over the next seven days, UAPD received 10 reports of missing items from rooms in all four buildings of the Northwest Quads dormitory.

Surveillance camera video from May 2 showed all three walking the hallways of Northwest Quads Building B and entering unlocked rooms, according to the report. On May 9, a clerk at the Campus Bookstore on Dickson Street told police the three men had regularly exchanged textbooks for cash.

Textbooks and other stolen property were recovered from Peterson's suite in the Northwest Quads, according to the report.

The three are among seven Arkansas football players arrested since March 23. Of those seven, five have been dismissed from the Razorbacks program.
