County Panel Backs Raises, Reorganizations

Benton County’s budget could grow by more than $210,000 next year if the Quorum Court approves a series of personnel changes and additions endorsed Tuesday by the Personnel Committee.

County Coroner

The Benton County coroner was considered a part-time position before the 2010 Census, which saw Benton and Washington counties join Pulaski County as class 7 counties with a population exceeding 200,000. In class 7 counties, the largest in Arkansas, the coroner is considered a full-time position.
