Murray Mauls Van Buren

Posted: October 13, 2012 at 5:03 a.m.

Springdale High coach Shane Patrick sensed that Van Buren was up to something Friday night, so he called a timeout to make a few defensive adjustments.

Why The Bulldogs Won

Springdale running back Deandre Murray had a career night, rushing for 356 yards and four touchdowns on 26 carries. But safety Qua Rose made a game-saving tackle on a two-point conversion to seal the victory.

Why The Pointers Lost

Van Buren had trouble slowing down Murray after the first quarter, and despite relying on its own high-powered offense, the Pointers came up one play short to remain winless in the conference.
