Greek jobless rate hits 25.1% as deepening slump takes toll

High school students protest Thursday in Athens over cuts that have disrupted school-bus services. Greece’s unemployment rate hit 25.1 percent in July, the government said Thursday.
Greece’s unemployment rate climbed to more than a quarter of the work force in July, extending its record high as the country’s five-year recession deepened.
