Elizabeth Escalona, 23, a Dallas woman who pleaded guilty to felony injury to a child for beating her daughter and gluing the then-2-year-old’s hands to a wall, said during her sentencing hearing that she would never forgive herself for her actions, then added: “I want everybody to know I’m not a monster. I love my kids.”
