Man Gets 70 Months For Child Porn

— A Lowell man was sentenced Tuesday to 70 months in federal prison in connection with possession of child pornography charges.

Carmen Boche-Perez, 54, was sentenced to 70 months without parole, according to a news release. U.S. District Court Judge Jimm Larry Hendren ordered Boche-Perez to pay $12,500 in fines and to serve five years supervised release following his release from prison.

Immigration agents came in contact with Boche-Perez on Oct. 27, 2010, as he was attempting to cross the border from Mexico, according to court documents. The agents searched Boche-Perez’s luggage and discovered multiple DVD disks, which contained videos of minors engaging in sexual activity.

Boche-Perez admitted to having another DVD containing child pornography at his residence in Lowell. A federal search warrant was obtained and a search of the residence revealed one DVD containing multiple video clips of child pornography.

Boche-Perez pleaded guilty May 10 to one count of possession of child pornography, accounting for the single DVD in Lowell, according to the news release.
