Kids Day America Set For Oct. 13

SPRINGDALE — Health, safety and environmental issues will be among the topics of a free event Oct. 13 at the Jones Center.

Kids Day America, from noon to 3 p.m., will feature activities for children such as face painting and balloon art.

There will be appearances by Northwest Arkansas Naturals mascot Strike, McGruff the Crime Dog andSparky the Fire Dog.

Children also may receive free pediatric dental exams, vision screenings and checks for scoliosis, an abnormal curving of the spine.

Child identifi cation cards will be available for the Springdale Police Department to conduct fi ngerprinting for all kids. Information on disease prevention and children’s health also will be shared.

Balloons, snacks and other items will be given away.
