Creature feature: Doggie diggers

I have two dogs, a Pomeranian and a Boston terrier. They’re diggers — not trying to get out, just digging. I have a doggie door so they can come in and out of my closed-in patio, but they have dug tunnels everywhere. I’ve covered the ground with mothballs and filled the holes up with new dirt, but nothing does any good. It has gotten to the point where I can’t walk in the yard without falling down. Do you have any suggestions?
