Elsewhere in arts and entertainment this week: Houdini-esque-apes One-name Arkansas illusionist Sean-Paul of Eureka Springs’ Intrigue Theater will attempt two Harry Houdini-influenced “Extraordinary Escapes” in Eureka Springs this month: At noon Thursday at the Crescent Hotel, 75 Prospect Ave., he will be strapped into a regulation straitjacket and hoisted upside down by his feet from a plank extending off the hotel observation deck.

Rowling’s magic absent in Vacancy
