bullet proof vests under the orange would be proper as well. The shooter was aiming at the sound and couldn't wait to see the deer before squeezing the trigger. This is a perfect reason not to go hunting when you have too many idiots with guns anxious to kill something. Dorney shouldn't be allowed to own guns after this tradgedy and hopefully he gets some time behind bars to think about it.

Guess I got the shooters name wrong but listening to the news sounds like the shooter and victim knew each other. sounds like a good investigation should be in order.

Are you Kidding me. This really happened. I'll bet the man didn't even have a hunting license to shot if it was a deer. I'll bet he's not even a hunter or has any hunting history. Any hunter that spends a good amount of time in the woods would never take that shot. There is more to this than a hunting accident. Sad Stupid & bad for people who hunt correctly

Wouldn't matter if it would've been a deer or now. How would he have known if it was a legal deer he was shooting. Gun seaon equals no doe and bucks of certain size. This isn't a "if its brown its down" scenario. Sounds either suspicious or the guy shooting is an idiot and needs to be allowed to never own a gun ever again.

150 yds is a pretty long shot for a .30/.30, especially through brush thick enough to totally obscure your view. Something smells.

I'm having real issues with the smell test also.

How did he shoot the guy in the back? Must have been walking away from shooter. Now all of us non-hunter trail walkers are required to know when deer season is, otherwise if we get shot is could be our fault. Could that be impersonating a deer without fur. US Code Section 421
