SPRINGDALE — A rash of thefts from vehicles has spread across the city, according to a police news release.
Police have received reports of 24 thefts from vehicles over the last two weeks. The incidents were reported at homes and parking lots of businesses, according to the release.

In at least one instance, a victim reported two thefts. After a Nov. 19 theft from a vehicle in the Cracker Barrel parking lot on 48th Street, bank cards were used for purchases at Walmart and Kmart, according to police.
Police used video surveillance records to produce photos of four women they believe used the stolen cards, according to the release.
Police advise always locking vehicles. Also make sure no valuable items are left in view and park in well-lit areas.
Packages left in vehicles during the holiday season are prime targets for thieves, according to the release.
