Hears Fly Expert

The Arkansas Trout Unlimited chapter will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Monday at Whole Hog Cafe, 3009 N. College, in Fayetteville.

Michael McLellan of McLellan’s Fly Shop will give a program about the latest innovations in fly fishing.

Trails Close

For Deer Hunt

The trails and shooting range at Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area will be closed Saturday through Wednesday for a permit deer hunt.

Closed trails include Shaddox Hollow, Hidden Diversity Multiuse, Sinking

Pigeon Roost Trail backcountry campsites will be closed Friday through Wednesday.

The one-half mile Historic Van Winkle Trail will be open.

Audubon Society Sets Meeting

The Northwest Arkansas Audubon Society will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 8 at the Lake Fayetteville Environmental Center, 511 E. Lakeview Drive in Fayetteville.

David Chapman will give a program on declines in breeding bird populations in the region. Officers will be elected.
