Rogersville, Mo., jumped to a 37-27 halftime lead and then held off Rogers High to post a 72-64 victory in the first round of the 48th annual Republic Boys Basketball Tournament on Monday.

Hunter Hill and Keifer Holt scored 14 points each for the Mounties while Zach Jones added nine.

Rogers (1-2) will face Neosho, Mo., Thursday at 6 p.m. Neosho lost to Springfield (Mo.) Hillcrest on Monday.
