Cantus and Theater Latte Da will present All is Calm: The Christmas Truce of 1914 as part of the Walton Arts Center’s 10x10 Arts Series. The performance is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the arts center.
The musical tells the story of the World War I truce between Allied Forces and German soldiers in “No Man’s Land” on Christmas 1914 through new arrangements of European carols and war songs. The play is the work of playwright and director Peter Rothstein, who co-founded Theater Latte Da.

Art auction benefits women’s shelter
The Northwest Arkansas Women’s Shelter will host its annual Fresh StART art auction from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday at Serendipity in downtown Rogers.
The auction will feature works by local, professional artists and artisans as well as art from the shelter’s art programs. Cost to attend is $40.

Suicide prevention forum Thursday
Faculty and students at the University of Arkansas School of Social Work and the Northwest Arkansas Suicide Prevention Coalition will host “Suicide Prevention: Everyone Has a Role” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville.
The community forum will begin with a presentation of statistics, warning signs, action steps and prevention options in Northwest Arkansas. A panel discussion featuring Michael Collie, clinical assistant professor in the School of Social Work; Jared Sparks, director of clinical practices at Ozark Guidance; Carol Jackson, the coordinator for the veterans justice outreach program at the Veterans Healthcare System of the Ozarks; Julie Moore of the Arkansas Crisis Center; and detective David Williams of the Fayetteville Police Department will follow.
A free dinner will be served for those who attend at 5 p.m. Continuing education units are available for social work and mental health practitioners.
