Arkansas moved swiftly on its first drive, with Cobi Hamilton catching 3 passes for 28 yards. A personal foul on Brandon Mitchell pushed back a Mekale McKay catch and run that had reached the LSU 6, but a Tyler Wilson scramble re-established first and-goal. Dennis Johnson broke a tackle inside the 5 on a play-action catch, but fumbled at the 2. Keante Minor mishandled the LSU punt, but Price Holmes recovered. Wilson’s deep throw on the next snap was intercepted by LSU cornerback Tharold Simon and returned the Hogs’ 40. leading to a 49-yard Drew Alleman field goal. Dylan Breeding punted 45 yards to the LSU 3. The Hogs were shut out in the first quarter for the third time this season.

2nd Quarter LSU 10, ARKANSAS 0

A 43-yard pass flipped field position for LSU, but Kaelon Kelleybrew broke up a third-down pass to force a punt.

On fourth-and-1 from the Arkansas 40, Kelleybrew, Ross Rasner and A.J. Turner threw Michael Ford for a 2-yard loss. Arkansas converted two third downs and drove to the 24, where Zach Hocker’s 40-yard field-goal try was deflected by Bennie Logan and went wide left. The Arkansas sideline drew a 15-yard unsportsmanlike conduct call on a dead ball to give LSU a first down when facing third-and-2, and Jarvis Landry made a one-handed, 22-yard scoring grab three plays later.

Two LSU penalties helped the Hogs reach the 26, but Hocker missed wide right on a 43-yard field-goal try.

3rd Quarter LSU 17, ARKANSAS 10

Pressure by Chris Smith and Alfred Davis forced Zach Mettenberger’s errant third-down throw. Dennis Johnson’s 24-yard catch and run set up John Henson’s first career field goal, a 25-yarder. Arkansas’ momentum lasted a few seconds, as Michael Ford brought the kickoff back to the Hogs’ 13, and Jeremy Hill scored from the 1 three plays later. Knile Davis had 3 carries for 26 yards and Cobi Hamilton snatched an 18-yard pass on a slant before Tyler Wilson’s 28-yard scoring pass to Mekale McKay over Jalen Collins on a fade route. LSU converted two third downs before punting to the Arkansas end zone. Davis turned a short pass into a 22-yard gain near midfield before the end of the quarter.

4th Quarter LSU 20, ARKANSAS 13

Tyler Wilson’s pass to Jonathan Williams on fourth-and-1 netted 37 yards to the LSU 9. Cobi Hamilton caught a pass on the 1, but LSU held and Arkansas kicked an 17-yard field goal through a chorus of boos. A false start on LSU negated what Hogs fans thought was a strip and fumble recovery by Trey Flowers, and LSU punted. After an Arkansas punt, Ross Rasner and Robert Thomas combined for a 12-yard sack on third down. The Hogs reached fourth-and-4 from the LSU 45 and punted. The Tigers drove for a Drew Alleman 27-yard field goal. Julian Horton slid for a 28-yard catch to give Arkansas a final shot from the 18, but Wilson threw high for Mekale McKay as time ran out.
