Eureka Springs tea

to aid arts school EUREKA SPRINGS - The 46th Silver Tea, a longtime Eureka Springs holiday tradition, will be held 1:30-3:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Crescent Hotel, 75 Prospect Ave. The annual tea, hosted by the women of St. James’ Episcopal Church, raises money for a selected local organization each year. This year’s event will benefit the Eureka Springs School of the Arts.

The school, the vision of local artists Eleanor Lux, Doug Stowe and Mary Springer, has grown from a school without walls to a 16-acres campus near Inspiration Point. Each summer, the school offers classes to more than 200 students of all ages.

The tea will be in the Crystal Dining Room of the hotel. Guests will be treated to a variety of cookies, tea sandwiches and beverages. Eureka Springs musician John Wylie will provide seasonal music and guests will be greeted by a hostess dressed in Victorian clothing.

The public is invited and admission is by donation.

Information is available by calling (479) 253-8610.
