— A woman was arrested Wednesday after reportedly performing a sexual act on a 17-year-old boy earlier this month at a mental health facility.

Deidranna Wright, 21, of Springdale was arrested in connection with first degree sexual assault. She remained in the Washington County Jail on Thursday on $10,000 bond.

According to the police report, the incident occurred Nov. 12. Fayetteville police learned about it from the Arkansas State Police, which assisted in the investigation.

An employee of AmiCare Behavioral Centers, which oversees Vista Health in Fayetteville, told police Wright told her on Nov. 12 she had just performed oral sex on a 17-year-old boy, according to a preliminary report filed with the prosecutor’s office. The employee said Wright told her she was going to be in trouble, then suddenly became ill and vomited in a trash can, the report stated.

When interviewed by police, the boy told police Wright performed oral sex on him, according to the report. The employee told police she had asked Wright to take the boy to the bathroom, where the incident occurred.

Wright said she took the boy to the bathroom, but denied performing oral sex or telling anyone about it, according to the report.
