Missouri man killed in Springdale

— A Missouri man was hit and killed by a Ford Explorer while he was crossing Thompson Street on Thanksgiving evening.

The man was identified as Lewis Patterson, 74, of Seligman, Mo., according to a news release. The driver of the vehicle tested negative for intoxication, and was not cited.

It was dark at the time of the accident, and Patterson was crossing without a crosswalk, according to the news release.
